As a member of the National Association of Safety Professionals (NASP) and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) we have the professional industrial safety background to back up our training. We offer Health and Safety Services ranging from targeted safety meetings to complete safety programs. Our "Behavior" based safety programs focus on the root cause of industrial injuries and help employers maintain a low incident rate. Our concise, effective training provides employees with the knowledge they need to help maintain a safe workplace and how to respond in an emergency. Our one-of-a-kind "Industrial First Responder" program is the ultimate in safety training for key employees and safety committee members. Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) claims the life of 320,000 American's every year. SCA is the #1 undetected killer of adults. Only about 6% of the adults struck by Sudden Cardiac Arrest live. Of that 6%, about 90% of those survivors received effective CPR and Defibrillation within the first 4 minutes. Take time to learn the skills that can save a life. Our First Aid, CPR and AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) classes are available in all disciplines from Parent and Student courses to initial and refresher professional training. Authorized by the Department of Labor, LifeLine is authorized to teach the 10 and 30 hour courses for General Industry. The 10 hour course will provide introductory training to OSHA and Safety to the general employee. Managers, Supervisors and Safety Coordinators should attend the 30 hour outreach course. FEMA workers and volunteers respond to natural disasters all over the US. The major work being done in New Orleans is an example of the dedicated team of people who make up FEMA. LifeLine is a voluntary cooperative training facility offering FEMA Disaster Management Training. We will be updating this site soon with information concerning the courses we offer.

Many of us take for granted the people who serve as firefighters and EMS in our community. Having a family member with a very rare and critical heart condition we have come into contact with the Wilson, NC Fire and EMS services more than most people. Every time I watch them work I am amazed at the professionalism and dedication that they offer. Being an EMS educator I am always in awe of those who have the courage and dedication to serve in a public service role. My wife and I, some time ago began to thank people we came into contact with that are members of the armed forces for their service. Why do we not do the same for our public service people in Fire, EMS and Law Enforcement? We have committed from this point on to do so and we extend the challenge to all residents of Wilson. Next time to pass one of our public service people in a store or place of business, take a moment to thank them for their dedication and service.
